You can use N4 Advanced Vessel Planning and Control to plan and monitor the use of shore-side gantry cranes for vessel loads and discharges. With the Quay Commander Option, you can program crane plans, schedule crane activity over the entire quay, and monitor crane schedules, crane productivity, vessel activities, and vessel labor assignments in real time. This enables you to make dynamic adjustments to predict load, discharge times, and crane sequences. With Quay Commander, XPS tracks the work progress in real time and adjusts the move times while highlighting potential crane clashes and unworkable sequences.
With the Quay Commander Option, you can:
Model planned delays, such as hatch lifts and boom ups.
Build a crane sequence that presents optimization opportunities, such as performing discharge and load operations at the same time on different cranes.
Quay Commander supports data exchange (such as vessel schedules) with the Advanced Berth Scheduler Option (on page 1).
